COMMUNITY GROUPS
A Community group is a group of 8-14 people committed to gathering around the gospel, sharing life together and working as a team to bless the campus and the world.
It’s more than just a weekly Bible study. We definitely study the scriptures, but a Community Group is not a class; it’s more like a family or a team. It’s a community that eats together, does stuff together, works and plays together! It’s a place to talk about real life issues and to go deeper into each other's lives. Community Groups are where you ask questions, wrestle with the truths of the Bible and grow in your faith.
Community Groups are outward facing. We practice Gospitality — welcoming people into our lives, around our tables, because of the Gospel and for the sake of the Gospel. We are communities on mission to bring the blessing of Jesus to our campus. Thus, Cru Community Groups are for everyone. They are for students who already know Jesus personally and for students who are exploring Christianity. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate.
We believe it is absolutely essential to be connected with some type of small group in order to thrive spiritually at Cornell.
Whether you are new to Cru, you’ve been hanging around waiting for an opportunity, or you’re not even “in” Cru, there is a Community Group on your part of campus that would love to have you join.
